The Pentagon has prepared options for a show of force against North Korea following its claimed test of a missile that could hit America, CBS News reported Tuesday.
The options do not, however, include the use of military force against the rogue regime, the network said.
North Korea has claimed it successfully launched a Hwasong-14 ICBM on Monday, but U.S. Pacific Command said it initially believed the regime tested an intermediate range ballistic missile and was assessing the evidence.

The United States has about 25,000 troops stationed in South Korea as well as bases and forward deployed forces in Japan.
