Several new coronavirus cases were reported in Wuhan, China, over the weekend, the first in the whole of Hubei province in 35 days.

Authorities in Wuhan, China, are drawing up plans to test all 11 million residents for the coronavirus by the end of next week, after the city reported several new COVID-19 cases over the weekend, according to Chinese state-run media

The Chinese city of Wuhan, where the virus emerged late last year, reported six new coronavirus cases this week after it had seen no new cases at all since April 3. The city was in a strict lockdown for 11 weeks early on in the outbreak and began reopening on April 8. None of the new cases came from overseas, sparking concerns the virus could still be spreading in the city.
