FEMA administrator: We're setting up to be in Texas 'for years'

The head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Sunday said FEMA is setting up “for years” of recovery in Texas as Tropical Storm Harvey pounds the Lone Star State.

“FEMA’s going to be there for years,” Brock Long told CNN’s “State of the Union.”

Long said the federal government has 5,000 people on site in Texas and Louisiana. 

“We’re already pushing forward recovery housing teams,” Long said. “We’re setting up and gearing up for the next couple of years.”
