Going strong: George H.W. Bush, 93, back on his boat, ‘besieged by friends’

After a heartbreaking spring, former President George H.W. Bush is back on his game and getting ready for fishing season in Maine.

“41 is doing pretty darn good for someone three weeks shy of his 94th birthday,” said spokesman Jim McGrath of the 41st president.

Bush spent part of the month in the hospital after attending the April funeral of his wife, Barbara. But he has recovered well and is heading to his family’s Walker’s Point home on the Atlantic Ocean coast in Kennebunkport, Maine.
