Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Wednesday blasted House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) over a statement he made earlier summarizing current findings from the impeachment inquiry into President Trump.
Graham, during an appearance on Fox News on Wednesday night, was played a clip of remarks Schiff made outside the House’s sensitive compartmented information facility, where the Intelligence Committee chairman told reporters that during the testimony so far, the “most important facts are largely not contested.”
“We are getting an increasing appreciation for just what took place during the course of the last year and the degree to which the president enlisted whole departments of government in the illicit aim of trying to get the Ukraine to dig up dirt on a political opponent as well as further a conspiracy theory about the 2016 election,” Schiff said.
But Graham — who told reporters this week that he wasn’t reading transcripts of inquiry depositions — dismissed Schiff.
“That statement is full of crap,” Graham said.

“We need to look at whether or not Hunter Biden corruptly engaged in lobbying,” Graham said during a separate interview with Fox News on Monday. “Did Joe Biden ask the prosecutor to be fired because he was investigating his son?”
