WHDH reports it’s the second time the memorial has been vandalized in 2017. A man was arrested in June for smashing another pane of glass on the memorial.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh (D) responded to the vandalism Monday night, praising the Boston police for a “quick arrest” and vowed the city of Boston would “stand up against hate.”
