A passing citizen snapped a photo of one random act of kindness by a Massachusetts state trooper.

Trooper Luke Bonwin noticed a vagabond on the side of the road on his way back from court, asking for help. Instead removing her from the side of the road, Trooper Bonwin bought her lunch and shared a meal and conversation with her.

A Facebook post by the Massachusetts State Police explains how the moment was captured.

The citizen was struck by what he saw, snapped the photo, and posted it to a Facebook group in Fall River, captioned “And they say chivalry is dead…….Much respect.” We are grateful to that person, who thought to take the photo and share it.
