Rather than engage in a reasoned civil discourse about what Justice Anthony Kennedy called the right to “define one’s own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and of the mystery of human life” with college pro-lifers, a staffer at Purdue University allegedly decided to threaten to rape them and their female family members for expressing their views.
According to a Wednesday blog post from Students for Life of America:
Last week, the Purdue Students for Life group put up posters on campus that drew attention to the high number of abortions in the black community. They faced unprecedented backlash. However, the story just got a lot worse – instead of speaking with the pro-life students in a civil fashion, a staff member of Purdue University has decided to publicly call for the rape of them instead. This is a screenshot of Jamie Newman, who is a staff member in the Visual and Performing Arts division at Purdue, commenting on a story about the pro-life group:
