Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel was advised Friday evening to seek testing for the novel coronavirus upon her doctor’s recommendation after experiencing characteristic symptoms.
Michael Ahrens, the RNC’s communications director, said in a post to his followers on Twitter on Saturday that McDaniel would be tested for the coronavirus after exhibiting symptoms.
Last night, @GOPChairwoman's doctor determined a test for COVID-19 was necessary given her symptoms.
We will provide an update when the test results are available. pic.twitter.com/oLla7pLaDH
