Sarah Palin apologizes to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin apologized to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in a Facebook post Tuesday.

The apology came minutes after Assange’s interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity aired.

“To Julian Assange: I apologize,” Palin wrote. “This important information that finally opened people’s eyes to democrat candidates and operatives would not have been exposed were it not for Julian Assange.”

Palin expressed remorse for condemning Assange when he published her “infamous” emails during the 2008 presidential election, when she was John McCain’s vice presidential pick.
