Senator Cruz: No Funding for theUN as Long as the Decision Against Israel Stands

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is putting his foot down, in regards to the disgusting anti-Israel actions of the United Nations this week.

In what can only be seen as a deliberate slap in the face of the strongest ally the United States has in the Middle East, the U.N. voted 14-0 on Friday to force Israel to stop settlements on the West Bank and in Eastern Jerusalem. President Obama authorized the U.S. to abstain from the vote, which allowed the resolution to pass, when past protocol has seen the U.S. protect Israel from such actions.

On Saturday evening, Senator Cruz tweeted out a statement, making it clear that Congress would stand with Israel.

“Spoke w/ Israeli PM Netanyahu tonight to wish him Happy Chanukah & assure him of strong support in Congress. No US $ for UN until reversed,” Cruz tweeted.

What’s more, he is not alone. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham also suggested cutting funds to the U.N.

“It’s that important to me,” Graham told CNN on Saturday. “This is a road we haven’t gone down before. If you can’t show the American people that international organizations can be more responsible, there is going to be a break. And I am going to lead that break.”

Cruz and Graham are joined by Arizona Senator John McCain in condemning the actions.

Senator John McCain called the resolution “conceived,” and an “outrageous attack.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed anger and frustration with the vote adding that he was looking forward to working with the Trump administration to “negate the harmful effects of this absurd resolution.”

Why does the US still belong to the UN and why is it still headquartered on our soil?

    Throw them out.
