An Alabama sheriff’s office is investigating how hundreds of FedEx packages ended up in a ravine in the woods.
“I currently have a deputy on a location where it appears 300-400 boxes of assorted sizes have been thrown off a ravine,” the Blount County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) said in a statement on Wednesday. “An area manager from FedEx is en route to the scene. Hopefully we will have some answers soon.”
Blount County Sheriff Mark Moon told CBS News that deputies were sent to the scene to guard the area before FedEx workers arrive to pick up the missing packages, saying the delivery company had sent multiple drivers and trucks.

The packages were found near Hayden, which is about 30 miles north of Birmingham, according to CBS News.

The Alabama sheriff investigating the FedEx dump last week said the driver dropped hundreds of packages in the ravine six different times.Police are investigating the FedEx driver in a theft of property case that spans 450 victims, Blount County Sheriff Mark Moon wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday.
