The ban does not apply to U.S. citizens or their family members.
The White House is expanding its travel ban to passengers from the United Kingdom and Ireland, President Donald Trump confirmed.
The administration had previously banned foreign nationals from flying into the United States from the 26 countries in the Schengen Area free movement zone, but not the U.K. and Ireland, despite the existence of the coronavirus in those countries.
