A person shot on Capitol grounds during the violent pro-Trump riot Wednesday has died, a D.C. Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson confirmed to The Hill.
NBC News had reported that the unnamed woman had died, citing multiple law enforcement officials. The woman was reportedly shot in the chest and was in critical condition when she was taken away from the Capitol.

AP reported 3 others died from “medical emergencies” during yesterday’s insurrection. Unclear what those “emergencies” were.
I have zero sympathy for anyone from the mob who died or was injured. I just hope anyone in the building at the time it was breached (e.g. staffers, custodians, etc.) are all ok.

Those insurrectionists should have all been shot. Security at the Capitol was woefully inadequate. The NG should have been placed on standby the day before. It’s not like the people in charge didn’t know this would happen.
